Hot Red Meatballs - Recipe

Cook the minced onion in olive oil in a heavy pot on moderate heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly caramelized.
Drain and add the black beans and the crushed hot habanero pepper
Add the tomato sauce, salt and pepper and gently simmer, covered for about about 15 minutes
Add the fully cooked meatball
Cook for additional 5 minutes until sauce is thickened, then remove from heat.
Hot red meatballs are great served with a side of steamed rice or mashed potatoes.
Better results are obtained using homemade meatballs (Oven Baked Homemade Italian Meatballs ↪) instead of frozen ones.
Stir gently to avoid to dash the meatballs.
