Cooking Directions:
Prepare the pizza dough as described in section: How to make Pizza dough ↪ (required time, at least 1 hour). Use half of the suggested doses for 8 people.
Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a rectangular layer of about 1/5 inches of height.
Lay on top of the pizza dough a generous amount of pitted and sliced black olives leaving 1-1/2 inches of room from the border.
Lay on top of the olives the slices of mozzarella cheese and the sliced ham.
Carefully roll the pizza dough around the filling. Be sure to seal the edges of your roll.
Bake in the lower shelf of the preheated oven at 400 F for about 10/15 minutes.
Let cool at room temperature and then cut the roll in pieces of about 2/3 inch and serve either still warm or cold.
Tips:
You may create your own rolls with the flavors you like the most such as pepperoni, vegetables, different varieties of cheese, prosciutto, crumbled sausages, mushrooms, turkey or chicken.
You can serve each roll with a tomato dipping sauce. Mix plain tomato sauce, oregano, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper and saute on a pan for few minutes before serving.
For the dough: instead of buying or preparing the pizza dough (How to make Pizza dough ↪) you can use a Puff Pastry sheet. Just cook in the oven at 400F until the puff pastry turns golden.
