Penne Pasta with Artichoke Hearts, Ham and Cream - Recipe

In a large pot, bring to boil enough water to cook the pasta. When ready, add the penne and cook until al dente.
In the mean time, clean and wash the fresh artichoke hearts. Sprinkle with lemon juice to avoid them turning dark. If you are using frozen artichoke hearts, skip this step.
Lay the artichoke hearts in a large skillet with the white wine.
Cook at moderate heat until almost all the wine is evaporated, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon.
At this point add 1/2 cup of water and the bouillon.
Cover and let cook for about 15 minutes then remove the lid and let evaporate the remaining wine.
Cut the cooked ham in cubes or strips. Add the cooked ham to the artichokes and cook for additional 5 minutes until the ham is ready.
Turn off the heat, add the table cream, adjust with salt and pepper and dress the penne pasta. Serve hot.
