Ingredients
| • | Cabbage | 1 big | | • | Frankfurters, beef, pork and turkey | 12 | | • | Red wine | 1/2 cup | | • | Onions, finely chopped | 1 | | • | Extra Virgin Olive Oil | 3 tbsps | | • | Salt | to taste | | • | Pepper | to taste |
Cooking Instructions
- Shred the cabbage and finely chop the onion.
- In a large skillet saute the onion in the extra virgin olive oil.
- When the onions are caramelized quickly add the cabbage and the red wine. Saute for about 5 minutes. Adjust of salt and pepper.
- Add 2 cups of water, lower the heat and cover. Let cook for about 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add the Frankfurter sausages cut in pieces and cook for another 20 minutes or until ready.
- Serve hot. Lay the frankfurters (also known as wurstel) in the plate, surrounded by the cooked cabbage as side.
