Strawberry Custard Pie - Recipe

Pastry Cream Custard(see recipe ↪)
Prepare 2/3 of the shortcrust following the recipe at the link above.
Preheat the oven at 360 F
In a circular pan, add some flour on the bottom and along the walls. Lay the previously prepared shortcrust to cover the bottom and the side of the pan.
Cook in the oven for about 45 minutes.
In the mean time prepare the Pastry Cream Custard as described in the recipe in our site.
Fill the pastafrolla shell with the still hot custard obtaining an even layer. Let cool until the cream harden.
Wash the strawberries and cut them in two halves. Dispose them to top the pie.
Prepare a gelatin following the manufacturer instructions and brush the strawberries with a very thin layer. The gelatin will prevent the fruit to darken
You can top this custard pie with your favorite fruits such as banana slices, peaches, tangerines, grapes, kiwis.
