Cooking Directions:
Tartar Sauce is a creamy and versatile sauce that may be used to dress salads, eggs, meat or seafood dishes. Tartar Sauce can also be served on bruschettas or a simple bread slice as easy and delicious appetizer. Perfect also as filling for deviled eggs.
Hard-boil the three eggs for 8 minutes in rolling boiling water. Remove them from heat and cool under running cold water.
Cut the hard boiled eggs in two halves, scoop out the egg yolks and set apart in a bowl.
Add slowly the extra virgin olive oil, stirring continuously, to obtain an homogeneous, creamy sauce.
As done for the extra virgin olive oil, add the vinegar.
When the sauce is homogeneous and creamy, add the finely chopped Italian parsley, cucumbers and chives. Add the chopped capers. Adjust with salt and pepper. Mix well and store in the fridge.
Keep the sauce refrigerated until ready to be served.
Tips:
As shortcut for the preparation of Tartar Sauce you may consider using mayonnaise as a base for your sauce.
